The Diversity and Inclusion Office in Athens-Clarke County occasionally offers a tour of important sites to the Civil Rights Movement in Athens. In partnership with that office and working with Ms. Hattie Thomas Whitehead, Dr. Jerry Shannon and Maya Rao created print and online maps of these sites for those interested in this history in spring 2024.
